On the platform, the information on a computer seems to be wrong. How do you fix them?
Following the enrollment of an equipment in MDM, the following information on the computer is automatically sent back to the platform: brand, model, year, serial number, as well as certain technical specifications such as RAM or storage (SSD).
Some information may not be automatically transmitted. This is especially the case if it is an older model of PC or MacBook. More rarely, the RAM or storage may also be wrong.
The keyboard language is not information retrieved or transmitted by the MDM.
All of this information can be changed manually for each computer.
To do this, go to the Fleet page to edit equipment information (keyboard language, RAM, storage, processor...).
⚠️ If it is a computer enrolled in an MDM, the technical specifications (memory, storage, and processor) modified manually will prevail over the information transmitted by the MDM during future synchronizations. This will especially help if the information is inaccurate or incorrect.
