PUR develops initiatives designed to place climate issues at the heart of companies’ value chains.

Discover how Basile, Helpdesk Support Technician at PUR, transformed the company’s IT fleet management and why it matters.

When he joined a year ago, PUR had around one hundred employees. As the company grew to 200 employees across Africa, Latin America, North America and Asia, the need for flawless organization and connected tools became critical.

Basile took charge of IT fleet management, facing a range of challenges. Supported by Bérénice, Customer Success Manager at rzilient, he successfully delivered large-scale IT projects to ensure the performance and security of PUR’s IT fleet.

Here is how:

Guidance and support in implementing IT projects

Project 1: Enrolling the entire IT fleet

Some employees were using unenrolled computers, while others were using operating systems that did not comply with the company’s rules. In addition, the lack of tracking in the provision of high-performance tools made management complex.

PUR simplified its enrollment process thanks to the support of the rzilient team.

Now, when a new employee joins PUR:

For employees in France, their computer, whether taken from stock or newly purchased, is already enrolled and ready to use.

For employees abroad, their computer is purchased locally, and an enrollment request is automatically sent when they join.

Project 2: Securing data and equipment

The second project with rzilient aimed to secure the IT fleet using a remote management tool, or Mobile Device Management (MDM).

Initially, only a minority of devices were enrolled. Now, thanks to a roadmap designed by rzilient and the tracking available on the platform, all PUR employees are enrolled.

This MDM enrollment protects PUR’s fleet by enabling remote antivirus installation, control and management of application access, and the ability to remotely disable devices in the event of loss or employee departure.

Thanks to rzilient, we were able to effectively secure our IT fleet, moving from less than half of our devices being enrolled initially to full coverage across all PUR employees.

A platform at the service of IT performance

A platform supporting IT performance

Basile sees rzilient as an organizational tool that enables him to track equipment, automate processes and develop communication with HR departments in every country where PUR operates.

It is a tool that supports IT in the same way HRIS software supports HR.

Centralized view and management of actions

Thanks to the detailed inventory view, Basile saves time by avoiding the need to ask colleagues for information about their computers.

PUR’s Helpdesk Technician finds the information directly on the platform in real time and filters it according to the type of information he needs.

This allows him to focus on his core role.

rzilient simplifies my day-to-day work. I can filter very easily according to any data point and manage the resulting actions on the relevant devices.

The platform also gives him access to an onboarding/offboarding calendar.

Every day, Basile checks PUR’s onboarding status to anticipate the actions required.

I use the platform every day, from morning to evening. I always go through it, especially to monitor enrollment progress and make sure my equipment is working properly.

IT support

For IT support, Basile allows his colleagues to contact Rzilient's support independently from an online chat.

However, if necessary, he himself makes contact directly with rayilient's support. This approach allows him to save time in his work.

Simplified procurement and sourcing of equipment

Basile uses the platform to order new computers as soon as his stock decreases. The platform offers access to the company's current stock and to a multi-supplier catalog from the onboarding process.

2024 project: moving toward ISO 27001 certification?

In 2024, PUR’s projects include updating operating systems on certain computers, systematically encrypting hard drives, and potentially obtaining ISO 27001 certification.

This certification would allow PUR to demonstrate its resilience in the event of security issues, making it easier to acquire new clients and partners.
