And don't wait any longer to simplify the management of your computer equipment.

Environmental awareness is accompanied by a need to consume differently, more responsibly. Increasingly popular, the reconditioning solution contributes concretely to this dynamic of transition towards a more environmentally friendly economy. Today, we are interested in a French player in the field, which offers fully refurbished devices in western France: Largo !

A demanding reconditioning process

In full explosion for several years, the refurbished market now represents around 10% of mobile phone sales on French territory. Located in Sainte-Luce, a town located a few kilometers from Nantes, Largo is one of the key players in this sector, which is attracting a growing number of buyers, attracted by products that are more environmentally responsible, but also more affordable than the offers available on the new market.

To succeed in ranking among the leaders in the sector in its sector, with 14% of the market, Largo relied on its (almost) secret ingredient: a reconditioning process controlled from A to Z, which guarantees the quality of the products put back on sale.

Upon arrival at the reconditioning plant, each product, whether it is a smartphone, tablet or computer, is taken care of by a technician. After receiving a reconditioning grade, intended to inform the future buyer about the aesthetic aspect of the device, it is then subject to a data deletion, then undergoes a series of 123 technical tests divided into 37 control points (screen, battery, sound system, connectivity...). During this crucial stage, which is partly automated, the slightest failure is immediately identified and the defective elements replaced.

The advantages of Made in France

Largo also defends its positioning as French refurbisher. Unlike some retailers in the sector who outsource the reconditioning of their products to other companies located outside our borders in order to increase their margins, the Nantes company decided not to give in to the trend. A decision to be welcomed that is not without advantages, especially in terms of ecology. In fact, before reaching the buyer's hands, refurbished products do not go around the world three times.

For the customer, “made in France” also represents the assurance of being able to benefit from quality services, controlled from start to finish, thanks to a reconditioning process and centralized after-sales service in France. In the event of a problem, Largo undertakes to repair or replace the defective device. In 72 hours, once the latter has been received. As such, the buyer benefits from a 12-month warranty included automatically with their order.

Betting on everything French is also good for the local economy! Since its creation in 2016, Largo has thus generated Fifty jobs in the Nantes region and plans to recruit new people in the coming months to continue its development.

A player committed to the circular economy

A player in the circular economy, Largo prides itself on having refurbished more than 220,000 smartphones since its creation, thus saving 18.1 million kg of raw materials, nearly 5600 tons of CO2 and 4.5 million m3 of water. As the founders recall, 75% of the carbon footprint of a smartphone is linked to its production phase.

Certified CSR Lucie 26,000, in the process of obtaining ISO 14 001 and 9001 certification, the young company from Nantes intends to continue on the path in which it has committed itself: eco-responsible packaging is under development and collaborations with environmental and societal associations are already on the agenda!
